Debmalya Bandyopadhyay is a writer and mathematician. He graduated from the Brooklyn Poets Mentorship Program in 2025. He is the winner of the Verve Poetry Competition 2026, a runner-up of the UK Poetry Coaches Slam 2025, and was a finalist for the Tupelo Quarterly Poetry Prize, the Grouse Grind Lit Prize, the Osmosis Poetry Prize, Sweet Literary’s Poetry Prize, and the Briefly Write Poetry Prize. His writing has been published in Blackbird, Wildness, Chestnut Review, South Carolina Review, Atlanta Review, and elsewhere. He edits poetry at The Bombay Literary Magazine and wanders in parks, confabulating with local birds.
